The Fourth is ALWAYS fun......................

For sure, the fourth of July in Council, is always fun, always! We pack a lunch in coolers that for one reason or another seems to be like the 'loaves and fishes' and feeds a multitude. What a blessing! The tree at the top of the park, that is where we will be, come and be fed! Sawyer, Sidon, Maggie, Craig, Brian, and Bo all competed this year. This was Maggers first year and she put alot of pressure on herself to do well. We had a bit of Maggie 'meltdown' when her name was called. Uncle Joe called out that it was her turn and she took off like a shot, but he hadn't told her to go yet. I think that this extremely pregnant Mama 'jogged' up the hill to talk her through it and help her breath it out. She was able to pull herself together and took the trophy (which her Dad made) for second place to her brother, Sidon! Pretty darn good for a six year old girl!
Craig, Brian, and Bo all competed and that was a fun experience all in itself! Craig had decided not to wear a hat on this particularly hot and sunny day. DON'T DO THAT! He received a second degree sunburn to the top of his head which was not pleasant. So glad I do not have pictures of that or the 'jogging' of the extremely pregnant Mama! Fun day with good memories~
