Sidon's Big Day!

I realized today that we don't go very long without enjoying a birthday cake! Sidon turned 5 yesterday and we had the big party today. We had a visit from Mindy and the kids yesterday bringing balloons and paying for some awesome lemonade from the stand the boys wanted to set up. One more thing checked off the list of summertime to do's! Shoshannah and the girls showed up this morning and the kids all enjoyed the pool and sunshine before heading back to 'The River'.
The highlight of Sidon's day was eating a grasshopper because Bo told him he would give him a dollar! I think he spit it out but Bo did pay up. I can't believe that five years have already flown by.

Sidon's cake (decorated by Dad) was the 'Bumble Bee' camaro.

Puzzle Race

We had a puzzle race and even Molly was able to participate. The only rules were that no matter who won there would be no sore losers! Maggie was the winner, she completed her puzzle twice while the boys worked on theirs. She also had it a little easier but it was a pretty fun activity!

They really did enjoy this ( I PROMISE!).

Happy Fourth of July!!!

What a fun day! I always feel like it is finally summer when we get to race porcupines. I felt like the Saw Contest was really a success and it was such a fun relaxed setting. Hopefully next year we will have things a little more organized.
I really loved getting to hang with Levi, Sach, and Cohen in the evening and the fireworks were fun too!
Molly must have known what was in store for all the boys!
Lola and Maggie getting to know one another.
Craig throwing wrappers.
Craig in the Big Saw contest-he took 3rd place.
Brian in motion.
Bo looking very concentrated.
Craig takes his turn.
Bo takes on the Big Saw competition.

There are not words to describe how proud I was of both the boys. This was the best Fourth I think we have ever had!

Sidon takes his turn at the choker race.
He got a little high-centered on this log but he made it!
Over the deck with his choker.
Setting the choker. I was so extremely proud of my four year old!!

Sawyer making his way across the log.
Under the log.
Over the deck.
I love this one, flinging the choker over the log!
Pulling the slack, all the guys at the top of the hill were impressed.

I think that they all have decided that Craig is just making his own crew!

Preparing for the 4th

We took on a new roll this fourth of July, we played cohost to the Saw Contest and got to come up with some new events. I am still amazed how everything, from setting up to awesome participation, just seemed to go so smoothly. I am excited already for next year and hopefully it will just get better. I took some pics of all the guys setting up and brain-storming on what would make a good obstacle course.

The big discussion.

J.T. and Sidon trying to get the teeter to totter!

Fun

We spent some time with Andria, Tana, Melissa, and ALL the kids! It was fun and, if you can believe it, relaxing to spend an afternoon with eight kids!

Sidon showing the girls how he is tough.
I love this face!
Beautiful girls lounging in the pool!
