Christmas

We had a very fun Christmas and although these pictures are posted a bit late I thought they were fun to share. Craig usually brings home a tree the week before Christmas but this year he has been logging on the hillside that was burned in September. He took the Sawyer and Sidon with him on Christmas Eve and found one of the last 'green' fir trees on the mountain. He didn't think that I would appreciate a black one and he would have been right. It had been snowing and cold so our tree had frozen chunks of snow that had to be melted in the house or we would not have a tree on Christmas morning. This is what I like to call 'making memories' and it turned out to be alot of fun! We pulled out all of our beach towels and let the tree rain on the boys for awhile. We obviously got our tree decorated and had a good time doing it. We only had one mishap, after opening presents Maggie somehow tipped the tree over on herself. It was fairly tramatic and there were a few tears but it was quickly forgotten with stocking candy!

Craig got the boys slot cars but I think he has always wanted them for himself!

Dreaming

Craig took the kids and I to see 'the ridge'. I realized that while everyone was home we didn't take anybody to see the property! We are extremely blessed to have such a beautiful place to live. It's hard to believe that someday we will look at this view from our home! Meanwhile I think that the Lord is allowing us to see the many blessings that we have right now. Patience has never been a strong trait of mine but with this I feel content to wait on the Lord's timing.

Party Time

Molly decided to stay up until midnight!! If I am going to have a late night with a baby I'm glad it's this happy baby. I'm not sure if it was the four diet cokes I drank throughout the day or the fact that she thinks we're having way to much fun without her at night. Whatever the reason it was captured on film due to the fact that her parents should have gone to bed hours before!

A baby for a toy!

We all know the joy of a cardboard box for kids, but add a very happy and mellow baby to that mix and you get Molly. Sawyer was letting her go 'sledding' around the house, or pretending that she was baby Jesus. I'm blessed to have my fourth be so laid back. As long as the thumb is firmly in place everything is gooooood!

Idaho Weather

So much for our bike riding weather!! The snow came last night so we just have to switch gears, again. We have a few extra kids today and when it got a little quiet outside I decided to check on them and see what they were up to. For obvious reasons I tend to worry that the boys are cooking up some elaborate stunt that will land some poor unassuming neighbor kid in the hospital! Sidon informed me that they were using these chunks of boards as 'snowboards'.

Crafts Around Town

I ventured out to some local businesses that were having craft time on Saturday. I didn't get alot of pictures but the kids really enjoyed making ornaments and watching the parade!

Maggie is very deep in concentration as she puts this frame together. I have to share that both Maggie and Sawyer put theirs together the same way they were shown, Sidon, however, was very determined to do his 'my own way'!

Molly's Brand New Hat

Bo has taken an apparel class this year and one of his assignments was to crochet a hat to give away. Molly was the lucky recipient of this awesome hat (earflaps and pom pom included)! I thought that it was definately blog worthy!

Tropical Heat Wave

We have had the weirdest weather this month! It is the 8th of December and we had to pull the bikes out just so my cheese wouldn't fall off my cracker! It turned out that this was a good way to spend a sunny December day! We are going to the Christmas Parade tonight so maybe I will get some pictures to post later.
