Rain, Rain, Rain!

We had a pretty good rain storm this afternoon and the kids had just stepped out of the tub to see it. I let the boys go run a lap in the buff, covered by towels of course! Maggie thought she wanted to but couldn't muster the courage to step out into all that rain.

Memorial Day

We had a fun surprise last night, Lindsay called and said they had decided to come and spend the weekend in Council! Her and a friend came with Heather, Jim, and Kala to spend time with her Grandma. Lindsay brought Kala over Sunday to play with the kids. I got to snap a few pics and even twisted Bo's arm to be in some of them!

Green Kids

Ahhh, looks can be so deceiving! I was in somewhat of a frantic state of hormonal crazy today and felt as if I needed to mow my yard or the world would implode. I got Molly down for a nap, put on my grubby yard clothes and proceeded on with my harried plan of attack. As I got the yard done I thought, 'This would be a great time to take some sweet relaxed pictures of the kids'. Reminder, I'm running on hormonal crazy! I get all the kids dressed up and hair done (the boys didn't take long!) and put them in the yard. Now comes the fun part, four kids all smiling and happy all at the same time. So I'll admit there was some frustration on my part trying to get all my little darlings to pose at the same time! Wouldn't you know that my batteries also died after the first two pictures so into the house to charge them up, all the while telling the kids, gently of course, to stay put and keep smiling. Molly was less than thrilled with the whole process and thus would not look into the camera for any picture! I did get a few that were good but very hard earned! For every good picture there is probably a story that goes along with it.
So with pictures taken off of my list of things to do we headed into the house to treat grass stains on 'good' clothes and take a bath. This is when the real estate agent called and asked if this would be a good time to come and take pictures of our house, WHAAAT!!!! 'Sure' I say like it's no big deal, I have enough hormonal crazy left for that, totally!! I'm sweaty, my kids are naked in the tub and my house is not 'staged'. I tell Sawyer to watch Molly and I head back outside to take some pictures of my house myself. I have literally never cleaned my house that fast before and I'm scared what I might find in drawers and cupboards over the next few days! When Wendy showed up I had a full card of pictures for her to take back to the office and use for our new flier.
I do not take for granted the crazy hormones that God gave me, I could move mountains on days like today! All of this over an insane urge to mow my yard! And guess what, I kept my world from imploding, at least for today!!

It is DONE!!!!

Bo finished his quilt tonight! This was his final in textiles so he didn't finish any too soon. I also heard that a very helpful red headed girl might have helped by sewing the binding! Thanks Steph!

Crazy eyes!!

I snapped this picture of Maggie and Sawyer visiting, it was so sweet the way they were just hanging out and enjoying each other. This is proof that they don't ALWAYS fight! Also Maggie has had this aversion to clothing lately, sometimes it's shirts and sometimes it's pants! Today, thank goodness, it wasn't both since she was in the front yard! My favorite look is panties and pink rain boots, as long as it stays in the backyard!

Carnival Time!!

It's carnival time again so we loaded up and took the kids down to the school to enjoy our 90 degree temp in May. They did everything outside this year and it was great! The kids had a blast with just one or two complete meltdowns. I'm talking about Maggie not me, this time!! They had face painting, ring toss, dunk tank, bouncy house ( a big hit), balloon animals, sumo suits, and lots of other fun adventures for little guys!
The happiest picture of the night!

Sawyer getting his face painted.
Maggie wanted Addie to paint cherries on her face but ended up crying before it was done!We tried to have Molly's face painted but combined with a snot-nose it didn't stand up to Mom's wipes very well!

My new hair!

I went and did it, I got my hair cut shorter than I ever have before! I didn't even break out in hives on my way to McCall. I think this is one of the first haircuts that I loved as soon as I saw it. Thank goodness right? Mom has been going up to McCall and she convinced me that it would be worth the drive and she was right, thanks Mom!

The Chopper

We have been given a little 'happy'! Jerry Rosengrant told Craig that he had a little motorcycle that was just sitting in his garage and that we could have it if we wanted it. Well, Happy Mother's Day, we went and picked up this cute little chopper. The boys were in complete awe!! Bo got the hang of riding it but it will be some time before the little boys are allowed!

Kids in the yard

I finally got a beautiful day and kids that were cooperative with the camera. I had to let it go that Maggie was wearing her new favorite hat that she got from the logging show, a Les Schwab Tire camoflauge hat, of all things! The best pictures are of happy kids being happy, right? Molly was enjoying the freedom of all that grass and Sawyer and Sidon were getting in some quality bike riding time. All in all a very fun afternoon!

The sun sure makes the freckles pop!
Posing Maggie! I like the boys in the background on their bikes.
Sawyer was getting to know his new pet, a caterpillar.
