Easter

This was Craig's sunrise service. The boys left at 4:30 a.m. to head down to Deep Creek and enjoy the sunrise while steelhead fishing. Craig caught a 25 inch trout and this beautiful steelhead! The trout was wild and therefore could not be kept. They had a blast and thought of Levi the whole time!

Maggie didn't like the fish, or Sidon, or Dad. Something was unsatisfactory!

It worked!

The rollers made it through the night! Sidon isn't sure whether he likes it or not and he IS very opinionated about hair! Maggie loves it and I guess that is all that really matters.

There was a little girl who had a little curl!

We are trying something new. I'm not sure at this point if Maggie's curls will see the morning, but we are giving it our best shot. She was so good about sitting still while I put the rollers in and when she saw herself in the mirror she said, 'That's adorable!'. I am finding that it is very fun to have a 'girly girl' ! Tomorrow night, painting toenails!!

Signs Of Spring!

Sawyer discovered some of our bulbs trying to push their sprouts through our cold ground yesterday. He came running in and literally yelled 'You won't even believe it Mom, it really is spring!' I wonder that those little shoots popped out and thought 'What's with all the snow?' . In spite of all of our snow I love the miracle of changing seasons and I AM READY FOR SPRING!!!

Fun Trip

Craig took all of us to Moscow this week. He had a contractors meeting and we all like any excuse to stay in a hotel! We stopped at the Indian Museum just out of Lewiston and the kids loved it. I had more pictures but for some reason they wouldn't upload. This exhibit was Maggies favorite, it had beads and necklaces in it! The kids table was fun, they let the kids use some of the tools that the Indians would have used. Although Craig was in pain (notice the happy picture below) it was alot of fun!

Freaking Out

This is Molly's latest and greatest trick. We ask her

if she is 'freaking out' and she throws her hands out

and shakes. The fact that she can get those big eyes that

much bigger is crazy!

READING- all by himself!!!

Yesterday Sawyer brought me a book and said 'I want to read this to you, by myself.' He sat on my bed and proceeded to sound out every word with very little help from me. I quietly listened as my oldest child who still seems like he should be so little read me a book. As he turned the last page and realized that he had finished an entire book he looked at me, smiled and then started to cry. He is truly my child! We come from a long line of happy cryers. Throughout the day he would ask me, 'Mom, can you believe it? I know how to read!'. To be honest, I can't believe it. He is so quickly becoming a big kid. Sawyer is my tender-hearted, always hungry, mostly encouraging, very observant, always questioning, Smed! That will never change.

State Playoffs

The Council Lumberjacks went to the State playoffs for 1A basketball. The tournament was held in Caldwell so we took the opportunity to have a mini vacation while watching the boys play ball! The boys didn't last long but Bo played awesome and we were proud of his all out hustle to the very end of the game. Papa and Grandma and all of the cousins came down the second day to watch and stay at the hotel, it was crazy and fun! Craig has always wanted to go and check out the Warhawk Air Museum so we did just that. It was fun and the boys came home and set up their own museum with their planes! Of course we had to put in pictures of swimming! The lifejackets make sending 6 kids into the pool a little easier. Even Maggie can manage the deep end of the 'big pool' and she is extremely proud of that fact!
