Super Molly!

When Molly got stripped down tonight to get into the tub the bathroom was still occupied so I slipped a pair of Maggie's panties on her. I know the thin cotton would not be any kind of barrier to an accident but it seemed fun to her. She absolutely loved them! After her bath she cried and cried and kept pointing to the panty jar (each child has a glass jar with socks and undies above the washer because it seems to be the gathering place after baths)and motioning 'please, please'. I obliged and slipped on a clean pair over her jammies, it pleased her immensely!

My HUGE Breakdown!

On Thursday morning my washing machine did not seem like it wanted to cooperate with me. Oddly enough the last load that actually got through a complete cycle was a load of Craig's work gloves. I decide that I would wait for my handsome talented husband to come home and see if he could fix it. He can mechanic on anything but appliances are one of those things that he loathes working on. He graciously accepted the duty of fixing my HUGE breakdown. As the laundry pile seemed to me that it was growing by the second I was grateful that he was helpful in my dilemma. Craig got to work on the washer and finally decided that the drain pump motor was not working. Not to worry, he can fix anything! He got the corroded motor to run, checked it in an outlet in the garage, plugged it back into the washer. It worked! It sounded horrible, but it worked! By this time I think it was nearing 2:30 a.m. but the helpful little hands were asleep so what better time to get it fixed. The kill-joy came when I put a load of towels in and the pull on the weak old motor was just too much, it refused to work. Did I mention that in the process of taking the pump off I'm not sure how many gallons of water spilled onto the floor thus making my laundry pile grow, not to mention we had no towels for showers in the morning. I'm as bad as the kids when I get tired, the tears came. We ordered the part the next day and were promised it would be here on Monday. We will take the good out of this situation, Mom and Dad were on their way home from the coast so we went out to the house, started a fire in the wood stove and did laundry until they got home. It was so good to see them, even if it had only been a few weeks! The part came today and Craig fixed it, just like I knew he could! I am thankful for a fixed washing machine, my life practically stopped without it!

I was emptying the dishwasher and Molly had to help. I hope she is always so eager to put away dishes! She felt as though she had accomplished a great deal, which explains the big cheesy smile when we were done!

Bo's Football

Happy Harvest Time!

Halloween came and went again with costumes and meltdowns enough to go around. The school had a trunk or treat that we went to and we hit a few businesses in town before we called it a day due to tired and crabby girls. We had a football game with Notus and Senior Night because it was the last scheduled home game of the regular season. I didn't get any pictures of all of us with Bo because they turned out fuzzy. We won 50-0, the first shut-out of the season! There was a broken leg on our team, a broken wrist and a broken shoulder on their team, and a butt chewing from a sixty-something women that Craig got to endure! For the record the boys didn't play any tougher or rougher than any other game this season.

A new baby!

We ventured up to Riggins today to finally see the beautiful Tenesee Rose that was born nearly a month ago. We had a lot of catching up to do because it seems as though all phone conversations get shorter for some reason. Sawyer would not hear of being left to go to school while we enjoyed the sun, friends, and river without him. The kids went outside as soon as we got there and played nonstop for about two hours. We loaded up all the kids and went to take a look at the property in Pollock, which is right on the river. The kids played by the river while Shoshannah and I pictured where their house would sit someday. The kids were grubby, tired, and fully worn out. A good day!

My Best Good Stuff!

We have officially told children and family that we will be expanding our family even further so it is finally making it on to the blog. We have kept our good news to ourselves for a little longer this time, probably more for Craig and I to fully wrap our mind around the thought of having one more precious little Green baby running through the house! I will admit for the first two months straight every time Craig would look at me we would both laugh and just shake our head. I am 17 weeks, I thought maybe we could make it until 20 before we had too many suspicious looks but at some point I really wanted the kids, Papa and Grandma, brothers, and sisters to know soooo we told.
When we told the kids Sawyer immediately got teary ( happy teary) and went out the door and told anyone and everyone who would stand still for two seconds. Sidon didn't get teary but the smile on his face for an hour could not be erased, he just kept looking at me and smile and then give me a hug, in that sequence for about an hour. Maggie was happy and Molly is oblivious to such important news! We are extremely happy AND excited and hopefully it will go a little faster for having kept it a secret!
