Fun

We spent some time with Andria, Tana, Melissa, and ALL the kids! It was fun and, if you can believe it, relaxing to spend an afternoon with eight kids!

Venting- and a blessing

Throughout this last year there have been many times where Craig has had to endure a heated rant on my part about this country that we live in and the involvement of government in decisions that parents should be allowed to make for their families. I will not go into that long-winded discussion today. As I headed to church yesterday with the kids I was in need of encouragement. I got it. Philippians 3:20-21~ But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

What a blessing to be reminded that this world that we live in is our temporary home and the Lord has so much more for us.

Cheesy!

I cannot stress enough how hard it is to get Molly to smile for picutres. I caught her in a mood on Sunday and took advantage of her smiley self!

Fun with friends!!

We were invited for a play day out to Andria's on Friday. I didn't get alot of pictures but we had a good time reconnecting with friends! Our visits are too few and too far between. The kids all ended up with sunburns, despite the triple coat of sunscreen, and tired bodies and mouths! It wasn't hard to put kids to bed that night.

The lost tooth club!

Sawyer reached a milestone that all children dream about, he lost his first tooth! I was worried that the boys would lose their first teeth during one of their occasional boxing matches but he lost it the good old fashioned way, eating! After it fell out he wanted to look at it and dropped it and couldn't find it. He had a few tears until I convinced him that if he wrote a note about his situation the tooth fairy would probably understand. He made a model of the tooth and went to his room to write a note. I will have to explain the note, it reads, 'this is a model of my tooth, please can I have two dollars?' I told Sawyer that I wasn't sure you could demand a certain price for your tooth. I love this age when he is so eager to try and sound out the words and write them himself, one of these days the spelling will be correct and I will be sad that I don't have sweet notes like this to puzzle over!

Maggie is 3!!

This birthday has been much anticipated! In true Maggie form we did have a few tears but it was a great 3rd birthday despite the tears! We had Grandma Nelma, Grandma Mary and Papa Derry over for 'Pink Cake' and ice cream. I'm glad I got a few pics with Maggie's clothes on because they didn't last long.

Maggie was very proud of the 'Cinderella' cake that Craig made for her! I will also point out the beginning of Sawyer's tatoo 'sleeve'. It's a work in progress!

Opening presents
Grandma Mary drew my attention to the fact that Maggie's new dolls were mysteriously clothed exactly like her, very scantly! Who likes all those bulky clothes anyway?
It was a very exhausting birthday!

Dirty Kid

I just had to laugh at how the mud flung from the flying wheels of Sidon's little bike left their mark on his white hair!
