The Cousins Are Here!

The Ward kids made it to Idaho. I'm glad that even though they had a full day in the car, we got to see them before they went to the 'Donny' house! Bo gave Ginger a cookie and then had to wash all of the chocolate off of her!

A proud moment!

I am constantly reminded of how completely differant my children are. Sidon is not one to be pushed to do anything until he is ready. I have tried working on his name in the past only to be given a definite 'I can't'! Today was the day, chosen by Sidon himself, to write his name! The lines on his paper were drawn by Sidon and he copied his name over and over, because he wanted to do it! He was so proud of himself and I am so proud of him for being his little headstrong self. I pray that I guide all of my children well with the Lord's help. As my children change and grow I realize that there really is no cookie cutter for forming children that will become wholesome good adults.

Improvised Sled

The boys took a piece of vinyl that was left over from the chairs and made a sled out of it. Our shed in the back yard has been snowed in and contains all of the sleds, handy huh? Our snow really IS melting, I promise. You can see the street now and we can now see our house ( at least the top half) from the street! That is our excitement for the week.

King's of the hill!

Sidon took a turn sliding down our melting hill!

Sweetness

I am so thankful for my husband. Craig took the afternoon on Saturday to fix the ripped upholstery on my chairs. He joked that he looked 'domesticated', I assured him that he still looked like the tough logger that he is!

What a professional job!

Sawyer on the roof!!

Sawyer is sitting on the roof of the gargage in this picture. Craig shoveled the snow off of the roof and it made the roof very accessable. I haven't been very good about taking pictures of our record snow levels and now it seems to be melting faster than it showed up!

Going Sledding

This picture was taken before a sledding party after church! Notice how everyone is happy? Within 10 minutes of getting to Freedmans Maggie was a crying mess and the girls and I ended up coming home, leaving the boys with Kala and Brodie to enjoy the rest of the afternoon! Maggie and I did get in one run before we left and it was very fun!

Deep, Deep, Deep, Snow!!

Okay, my tree is gone! We have gotten so much snow this week. I honestly don't remember ever having this much snow in town since we have lived in Council. Craig did something yesterday that was very sweet and very blog-worthy. Sidon got to go with Grandma and Papa to Donnelly to ski this week and since I thought Sawyer would be back to school on monday (we had our third snow day in a row) he had to stay home. To make up for the fact that he was not skiing, snowmobiling, or tubing I went out to play in the snow with him on Sunday. He was so thrilled to have help building a snow fort and a slide and it was awesome to have that one on one time with him. Oh yeah, Craig did something sweet! He hung with his girls for two hours so that Sawyer and I could build and build. Even if we were right there in our backyard it was nice to get out and enjoy the snow (because I wasn't shoveling it) and I have to admit that our fort was pretty awesome!
